the morning of a wedding and walk into the getting ready room to greet you with a hug... I'm ready to give it all I got.

For the hours I'm celebrating alongside you, your family and friends, my goal is not only to create stunning images--but also to make your wedding day fun and carefree. I believe magical wedding days echo the start of an even more beautiful and committed marriage... and that belief is the heart and motivation behind my images.

For the hours I'm celebrating alongside you, your family and friends, my goal is not only to create stunning images--but also to make your wedding day fun and carefree.

I believe magical wedding days echo the start of an even more beautiful and committed marriage... and that belief is the heart and motivation behind my images.

When you’re having fun, you’re comfortable and when you’re comfortable, you feel (and will look) beautiful in your images. My philosophy is simple: we create gorgeous images together in beautiful parts of our city. You can do ‘no wrong’ in your photographs - I give direction with ideas and poses but also give the freedom for you to laugh, walk, talk and play in between. (That’s where the best images happen anyway!)

On your wedding day, I’m a photographer, dress fluffer, veil adjuster, quasi-coordinator, driving-direction-giver, make-up-checker and errand-runner. Whatever you need, I’m your girl. For the last nine years as a photographer, I’ve provided an exceptional client experience for my brides and grooms and am confident you’ll feel at ease every step of the process.

i love green tea and my wedding rings and walks in nature and my australian labradoodle and fresh flowers in my home and books, any kind of books and fresh fruit (and smoothies!) and nail polish, painting my nails, hanging out with my husband, jogging occasionally, eating healthy, also eating burgers and french fries, a glass of red wine, a piece of dark chocolate, cleaning and organizing our home. i love green tea and my wedding rings and walks in nature and my australian labradoodle and fresh flowers in my home and books, any kind of books and fresh fruit (and smoothies!) and nail polish, painting my nails, hanging out with my husband, jogging occasionally, eating healthy, also eating burgers and french fries, a glass of red wine, a piece of dark chocolate, cleaning and organizing our home.

favourite things

these are a few of my

green tea

Green tea is my 'coffee.' (Although I like coffee, too!) I start every morning with a cup of loose leaf green tea and love all the 'straight' green teas from David's Tea especially!

my wedding rings

When my boyfriend started talking marriage... I told him I had one engagement ring requirement: it needed to be yellow gold. In a time where yellow gold wasn't popular, I made him work for it to find the perfect one!

On our 2nd wedding anniversary, he surprised me with a thin diamond band to complete my ring finger! I love my rings so, so much every time I look at them.

nature

One of my favourite ways to relax is walking along the river, through trails or even our neighbourhood with my dog. I love being outside!

labradoodles

Specificially, our Australian Labradoodle named Harley! He's 2 years old and we love him so, so much. (I also grew up with a Labradoodle and my Mom has one!)

flowers

Fresh flowers brighten up a home so much! About once a month at the grocery store I treat myself to a bundle - anything under $15 will do!

books

Along with walking, reading is my favourite hobby! I love reading quality fiction (I'm quite picky), biographies, memoirs or anything business-marketing or psychology related.

fruit

Fresh fruit in any season... the best. I love visiting our local produce market every few days to stock our fridge with fresh fruit (and vegetables!)

nail polish

I absolutely love nail polish. My fingers and toes are (almost) always painted and I love changing up the colour every 5 days or so! Essie and OPI are my favourite brands to buy.

Randy & I had been friends for a few months after meeting at our church. Our first date was a day-trip to Seattle for a "generosity conference." Sounds silly, I know but it was an awesome event with non-profit and business leaders - and we both left inspired! But I wasn't sure how I felt about Randy beyond friends, quite yet.

our first date

We started dating in May and although he fell immediately ("I Love You" within 2 weeks kind of immediately)... I took my time. But by August, I knew Randy was husband-material. And I was beginning to think I wanted him to be mine.

He slowly wins me over...

By October, only 5 months into dating, I knew Randy was it for me. He didn't waste any time, getting down on one knee at my favourite coffee shop in Bellingham - surrounded by candles, roses and cards on the walls. I said yes!

Will you marry me?

I never wanted a summer wedding... and with a full summer of weddings to photograph, we thought, why not March? We planned a DIY wedding out in the country (Fraser River Lodge in Agassiz) in 4 short months. It was perfect. I'd live this day over and over and over again.

Our Wedding Day

We've been married 2.5 years and traveled all over (Hawaii, New Zealand, Haiti & more.) We still feel like 'marriage babies' but know and love one another sooo much more than we did on our wedding day. Marriage has changed me (for the better) more than I ever thought possible. I love this man. And I can't wait for forever with him.

Even more in love with you...

helping in haiti

the school sessions

A large part of my love for running my own business is wrapped up in the ability to GIVE. A couple years ago, my husband and I started The School Sessions: a fundraiser uniting photographers to raise money to build a school (destroyed by an earthquake) in Haiti.

Partnered with a non-profit in Nashville, our efforts have yield over $100,000 so far and the project is well underway in Haiti! To learn more about our work, you can view our website or Instagram.
