Rebecca and Kenneth’s wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. I expected nothing less, after two very stylish and fun engagement sessions with this couple over the past year. First, their was their camping-themed Fall engagement session in Kitsilano and then second, was a foggy-wintery-overcast shoot in Langley back in February. Although Rebecca and Kenneth are from Coquitlam, they knew they wanted to have a Do-It-Yourself Farm Wedding and a family friend’s property near 0 Ave was the perfect location. When we started coverage at the farm, all of Rebecca & Ken’s family had come from their Chinese tea ceremony in Coquitlam–hence Rebecca’s first dress in this blog post. We started photographing the gorgeous details, from Rebecca’s “White by Vera Wang” gown (purchased from David’s Bridal) to her white Kate Spade heels. The bride’s hair and makeup was impeccable, all thanks to Mindy from Lovely Wedding Studio.

Rebecca and Kenneth are part of a great church in Coquitlam and one of my favourite things about church is community. You really saw that come into play during their wedding day. My best guess is upwards of forty people setting up details throughout the early afternoon – including a full band rehearsing. So neat. Loved all of their photo canvases (from our two engagement sessions!), horseshoes, photo “nets,” rowboat paddles instead of a guestbook, seeds as guest favours, posters instead of programs (Rebecca is a graphic designer!), wooden signs all over the property, the gorgeous pink & lace cake… everything was oh so sweet. And SO DETAILED. It was crazy impressive.

After a heartfelt ceremony, which includes the congregation (close to 250 guests!) singing three worship songs, hand-written vows and a choir of about thirty people singing during the signing of the registry… guests watched Rebecca & Kenneth during the cake cutting. And then there was a toast to the bride… before ice cream, fruit & more cake!

We had some gorgeous light… and we can’t forget, an even more gorgeous couple.

Adored the style of their small bridal party. All the boys wore fly fishing bait for boutonnieres and all the girls wore sneakers. Stunning florals were by G7 Florist in Port Moody.

During the family formal time, the best man, Tin (who was oh-so-helpful by the way… and even carried our bags when we first arrived. Bonus!) offered to take this photo of Candace and I with the bride and groom. I love it! Happy marriage to you, Rebecca & Ken. Thank you so much for having us! (P.S… this is the last wedding Candace will shoot with me as a “single” girl. She gets married FRIDAY. Had to throw that in there. Love you Candace.)

[Post edited to add…] Rebecca & Kenneth’s beautiful wedding invitation! How did I forget this?
